Susan Wilcox was born in Buffalo, New York. Drawing and pastels were her first loves in art. Vibrant color use and a joyful style started at a young age. She studied art at the SUNY College at Buffalo earning at BS and an MS in Art Education. 

In 1996 she moved to southwest Florida with her family. The Venice Art Center gave her the opportunity to study under some great artists, teach, and exhibit several times a year. The beauty of flowers and landscapes in watercolor and oil are her favorite subjects.
