Diane Mannion states: Color and light are music to me!  I strive to share this joyful visual experience with others.  I’m a life-long artist... can remember my first watercolor box at age five.

Whether painting landscape, still life, or figurative… my favorite mediums are acrylics, oils, gouache, and watercolor. My artist friends, plein air groups, and teaching help keep me informed and challenged.  My watercolor and acrylic classes will start this October at Ringling Art Center, Englewood, FL.  I enjoy the enthusiastic community of artists in this area of SW Florida and feel lucky to live here.

Born in New York, studied at Pratt Institute, and State University of New York with graduate studies.  As Diane Paterson, author and illustrator of children’s books, I published a dozen of my own and illustrated over sixty books for other authors.
